Bulk Sweet Tins

Bulk sweet tins are the backbone of the desk. We buy sealed tins by the pallet from producers we have dealt with across several seasons, then break those pallets into resale cartons sized to what a buyer can actually put on a shelf. A neighbourhood grocer does not need four hundred tins of one line, and a distributor does not want to open twelve separate cartons to build a single pallet. The bulk service exists to solve both problems with the same stock.

Each carton is built in the packing room, weighed against the ticket and labelled with the line, the count and the packing date. Lids are checked before the carton is taped, because a tin that has lost its seal is a tin that will disappoint a buyer three weeks later. Outer cartons are plain and sturdy rather than decorative, since bulk tins are almost always opened in a stockroom rather than handed to a recipient.

Pricing is quoted per carton and per pallet, and we hold a written quote for thirty days so a buyer can compare options without the price moving under them. Mixed pallets are available when a single order needs several lines in smaller quantities, and the packing list always lists each line separately so the pallet can be checked line by line at the receiving door.

  • Sealed tins in producer cartons, broken to resale quantity
  • Weighed and labelled in the Anchorvale packing room
  • Plain outer cartons for stockroom handling
  • Mixed pallets built on request with a line by line packing list

Festive Hamper Packs

Festive hamper packs take a fixed set of tins and sweets and place them in a single presentation box for holiday giving. The recipe is written down once, approved by the buyer, and then followed for the entire run. That matters more than it sounds. A large run assembled across several days can drift if each packer works from memory, so the desk lays out a sample box at the head of the bench and every finished box is compared against it before it is closed.

Boxes are built in the order the delivery list requires, which means a client with four office locations can receive the correct number at each address on the correct day instead of one large drop that has to be split by hand. Ribbons, tissue and printed cards are part of the service, and any address labels are printed from the same list that produced the carton labels, so the two never disagree.

The hamper window opens each autumn and runs until the season closes. We publish the last order date early because the recipe depends on stock that is only held in depth for a few weeks. Once that stock is committed, we stop taking new hamper orders rather than substitute a line silently, and anyone on the waiting list is told plainly where they stand.

  • Fixed pack recipe held against an approved sample box
  • Delivery lists split by address and by date
  • Presentation finish with tissue and printed cards
  • Published last order date for each festive season

Pantry Staple Lots

Pantry staple lots serve the quiet, repetitive demand that keeps an office, a cafe or a small grocery running. These are the biscuits, dry snack packs, wrapped sweets and tea-time items that disappear steadily rather than in a single festive rush. We group them into a recurring lot with a known carton count, and the buyer receives the same shape of delivery each time, which makes both ordering and stockroom space easy to plan.

The lot is reviewed at each delivery rather than left frozen for a year. If one line is moving slowly, the desk will say so and suggest a replacement before the stock becomes stale on the buyer shelf. If a line is moving faster than expected, the mix is adjusted upward so the shelf does not run quiet between deliveries. That review is a short conversation, not a formal renegotiation, and it is the main reason recurring buyers stay.

Staple lots are packed in plain cartons with a clear line list on the outside, so a pantry manager can check the delivery without opening every box. Short-dated items are flagged on the packing list and never buried in the middle of a mixed carton.

  • Recurring lots sized for offices, cafes and small grocers
  • Mix reviewed at every delivery against actual use
  • Plain cartons with an outside line list
  • Short-dated items flagged on the packing list

Corporate Gift Sets

Corporate gift sets are built to a written brief. A client will usually come with a budget per recipient, a date, and a rough idea of what the set should feel like. The desk turns that into a carton count, a proposed contents list and a sample, and no run begins until the sample is approved in writing. Branded tissue, printed cards and custom labels are all arranged at this stage so nothing has to be retrofitted after the boxes are already closed.

Because corporate runs are often large and tied to a single date, we plan the packing across several sessions and hold the finished boxes in the packing room until the delivery window opens. That spreads the labour and keeps the quality even. The approved sample stays on the bench for the whole run, and any box that does not match it is pulled and rebuilt rather than sent.

Delivery is arranged either as a single drop to one address or as separate drops to several offices. Each drop carries its own packing list, and each carton is labelled with the recipient group, which means a reception team can hand out sets without opening every box to check.

  • Written brief, proposed contents list and approved sample
  • Branded tissue, printed cards and custom labels
  • Packing planned across sessions to keep quality even
  • Separate drops and recipient labels for multi-site clients

Seasonal Imports

Seasonal imports cover the lines that only make sense for a few weeks a year. These are landed ahead of the holiday calendar, checked on arrival at the packing room, and cleared before the season closes. Because the window is short, the desk works backwards from the date the buyer needs the goods on display and sets the last order date from there, leaving enough margin for arrival checks and for any replacement of damaged stock.

We are careful about what we commit to. A seasonal line that arrives late is worse than a line that was never offered, so the import plan only includes goods where the producer has confirmed a landing date and the shipping route has enough slack to absorb a small delay. When a landing date does slip, buyers are told immediately and given the choice of waiting, substituting or cancelling that line.

Leftover seasonal stock is never carried into the next season quietly. It is either cleared within the window or reported as cleared, and the next season begins with a fresh plan rather than a pile of old cartons at the back of the room.

  • Short-window lines planned backwards from the display date
  • Arrival checks and replacement margin built into the schedule
  • Immediate notice if a landing date slips
  • No quiet carry-over of leftover seasonal stock

Resupply Subscriptions

Resupply subscriptions turn a one-off order into a calendar entry. The buyer sets the depth of the standing order, chooses a delivery day, and the desk ships on that day without a fresh quotation each time. This suits offices with a steady pantry demand, cafes that restock on a fixed weekday and small grocers who would rather not rebuild the same order every month.

The subscription is not a lock-in. The depth can be changed, paused or cancelled with notice before the next cycle, and any change is recorded against the account so the next delivery reflects it. We watch the rate of use across cycles and will suggest an adjustment when a lot is consistently arriving half empty or consistently running out before the next delivery.

Invoices for subscriptions are issued per cycle and kept simple: one lot, one delivery, one amount. Buyers who need a purchase order reference on the invoice can supply one at setup, and it will appear on every cycle without being asked for again.

  • Fixed delivery day and fixed lot depth
  • Change, pause or cancel before the next cycle
  • Use rate reviewed across cycles with suggestions
  • Simple per-cycle invoices with an optional purchase order reference

How an order moves through the desk

The six services share one process, which keeps the packing room predictable no matter which service a buyer chooses. Nothing is skipped because an order is small.

Enquiry

The buyer writes or calls with the items, quantities and the date the goods are needed. The enquiry is logged the same day with a single reference number.

Depth check

We check live stock against the request rather than against memory. Any shortfall is reported before a price is quoted, so the buyer is never surprised late.

Quotation

A written quote lists the lines, carton count, price and delivery window. It is held for thirty days so the buyer has time to compare without the price moving.

Packing

Each carton gets a printed ticket. Goods are picked in ticket order, checked against the ticket, and the shelf face is marked down as stock leaves.

Sealing

Lids are checked, cartons taped and labels applied. A packing list is printed that matches the cartons, and the parcel joins the next courier list.

Follow-through

The order record stays live after delivery. Shortfalls, damages and subscription adjustments are recorded against the same reference, so the next cycle starts from a clear position.

JQSWEE TRADING builds every quotation from live shelf depth, so the price a buyer sees is the price the packing room can actually fill. If a line is short, we say so before the quote goes out rather than after the order is placed.
